Pacjenci – widma, czyli osoby, które nie przychodzą na umówioną wizytę i nie odwołują jej uprzednio, są zmorą lekarzy i dentystów. Blokują miejsca innym, skutecznie tworzą monstrualne kolejki i generują poważne straty dla lekarzy i systemu opieki publicznej. Portal Dentysta.eu sprawdził, kim są i jacy są niesolidni pacjenci. Wyniki przeprowadzonego badania okazały się nadzwyczaj interesujące.

Ankieta, której tematem przewodnim była solidność pacjentów w stawianiu się na umówione wizyty, przeprowadzona została przez portal Dentysta.eu w okresie 7-12.07.2018 r. na próbie 500 osób.

Ponieważ ankietę prowadzono przez internet, mógł w niej wziąć udział każdy zainteresowany. Uczestników spoza Polski było bardzo mało (zaledwie 1%), dlatego można przyjąć, że wyniki badania wskazują, kim są i jacy są polscy niesolidni pacjenci. Liczebność respondentów z poszczególnych województw obrazuje Wykres 1.

Zdecydowaną większość respondentów stanowiły kobiety – 79% (Wykres 2).

Najwięcej ankietowanych należało do dwóch grup wiekowych: 40-60 lat oraz 20-39 lat z nieznaczną przewagą liczebną tych pierwszych. Całkiem sporą grupę stanowiły osoby starsze – między 61 a 70 r. ż. Do tej grupy wiekowej należał prawie co szósty uczestnik badania (Wykres 3).

Dentyści z Gliwic będą blokować ból prądem. Jako pierwsi w Polsce

• Ukłucie igłą i podanie znieczulenia to często najboleśniejsza część wizyty u dentysty. Amerykańscy naukowcy znaleźli jednak sposób na to, aby ból podczas wstrzykiwania znieczulenia zniknął.
• Od niedawna za oceanem wykorzystuje się do tego impuls elektryczny o wysokiej częstotliwości, który skierowany na dziąsło znieczula je, a przy okazji pobudza produkcję hormonów szczęścia i naturalnych substancji przeciwbólowych.
• Teraz z tego innowacyjnego rozwiązania będą korzystać także dentyści w Polsce. Od listopada jeden z gliwickich gabinetów jako pierwszy w kraju będzie znieczulał używając impulsów elektrycznych.

Prąd zablokuje ból

Co 10 osoba lecząca zęby boi się znieczulenia, a nie późniejszego zabiegu. Powód? Często same ukłucie i wprowadzenie specjalnego płynu bywa bolesne i stresujące. Zwłaszcza dla najmłodszych, którzy nie tylko są wrażliwsi na ból, ale także powszechnie boją się zastrzyków.

Z tym problemem postanowili walczyć dentyści z Gliwic. Już od listopada jako pierwsi w Polsce zaczną w leczeniu zębów stosować nową metodę znieczulenia TmENS (Transmucosal Electric Nerve Stimulation), czyli przezśluzówkową elektryczną stymulację nerwów. Nad tym rozwiązaniem przez ponad dekadę pracowali naukowcy z USA. Jej nowatorstwo polega „zbombardowaniu” miejsca podania znieczulenia serią impulsów elektrycznych o wysokiej częstotliwości, które blokują reakcję bólową tuż przed momentem wprowadzenia igły i podania płynu znieczulającego.

– Od listopada u każdej leczonej osoby przed zabiegiem będziemy wykonywać swoiste znieczulenie przed znieczuleniem. Oznacza to, że zanim podamy zastrzyk znieczulający, w miejsce w dziąśle, w które będziemy się wkłuwać,  przy pomocy specjalnego urządzenia z sondami i końcówkami przewodzącymi prąd wysłane zostaną nieodczuwalne dla pacjenta  impulsy elektryczne blokujące ból. Impulsy każdorazowo będą dopasowywane m.in. częstotliwością i mocą do poszczególnych pacjentów, tak aby ich działanie było najskuteczniejsze  – mówi lek. dent. Nie poczujesz bólu m.in. przez endorfiny i hormon szczęścia

Jak zapewnia dentysta, po ich aplikacji osoba poddawana znieczuleniu nie będzie czuła ani momentu wkłucia się igły, ani jej wędrówki w tkance miękkiej i kości, ani nawet rozpierającego bólu, jaki często towarzyszył wprowadzaniu płynu. Ból zastąpi tutaj lekkie mrowienie.  – Wysłana przez urządzenie seria sygnałów o wysokiej częstotliwości dosłownie zablokuje impuls nerwowy, niosący informację o bólu do mózgu.  Taka blokada nastąpi już po kilku sekundach od ich wysłania w miejsce, w które lekarz będzie chciał wbić znieczulenie – wyjaśnia stomatolog.

W blokowaniu reakcji bólowej pomogą także naturalne substancje przeciwbólowe, które pobudzają impulsy. – Pod wpływem działania prądu zaczynają się w organizmie wydzielać beta-endorfina i serotonina. Ta pierwsza substancja, działaniem zbliżonym do morfiny, ma właściwości przeciwbólowe. Druga to hormon szczęścia, niwelujący stres – mówi dr Krufczyk. Więcej
